Supplemental #14 | January's recipe roundup
What's been cooking in the papers and online over the last month?
Hi all. For no reason beyond keeping things fresh, I thought I’d do things a tiny bit differently and limit the January roundup to twenty dishes … ish. (fwiw I reckon I’ve scanned >200).
SO here are my favourite recipe ideas published last month. Get cooking!

Kenji Morimoto has been enthusiastically and engagingly pushing fermentation for a while via the usual online channels; so it’s good to see his ideas and expertise creating into print, including a recent duo of recipes for The Guardian Feast.
“I’m craving easy, wholesome dishes that don’t compromise on flavour, and if time does the heavy lifting, so much the better.”
Nice. Also nice: his recipe for a fennel and cabbage sauerkraut that followed the statement, plus a flavour-forward, throw together dish that uses it — a kraut and sausage stew with sour cream and chilli oil.
He’s a book coming soon. Keep a look out.
