Of course last month flew by in a flash.
I don’t recall there being a single ‘April shower’. But I did bookmark a bunch of recipes from the various weekend supplements (and ever-increasing number of weekly email newsletters). As ever, I thought I’d share them with you; I reckon there’s a fistful that should move straight onto the ‘must cook’ list.

A Feast
Hard to look past Meera Sodha’s braised aubergines with tofu in The Guardian’s Feast magazine.
Things that locked me into its tractor beam: the mention of fish fragrant aubergines; the really very simple set of ingredients and instructions; and also the introductory line “with spring in the air, I want a dish that’s the equivalent of turning the key in the ignition, firing up the engine and riding off into the sun”.
