Summer ingredients, summer style
Welcome to this month’s Supplemental. I’m pleased to note that we are finally in summer eating mode.
Typically, this means three things:
seasonal ingredients that intrinsically hit the spot;
a style of cooking and eating that suits the weather; and
a bunch of random things that depart from (1) and (2), but which we’ll crave at some point.
Oh and (4), fruity desserts and treats.
I’ve been doing this round-up for the better part of a decade now, and the July and August recipes always have us covered. IT’S LIKE THEY KNOW SUMMER HAPPENS EVERY YEAR. Crazy. Good things follow — read on.
